YEDI is a non-profit organisation, officially registered under Kunming Civil
Affairs Bureau since January 2003, focussing on supporting activities aimed at
improving the environment in Yunnan Province as part of the overall drive for a
more sustainable development in the region. YEDI’s major areas of activities
are:
● Eco-system protection, especially of plateau lakes, rivers and wetlands
● Environment pollution reduction both in urban and rural areas
● Research and promotion of clean production technologies
● Research on low carbon lifestyle & economy, recycling economy
● Supply of clean drinking water in rural areas
● Research on policies related to environmental protection and sustainable
development
● Environmental education & training
